The Northern Ireland Games Council (NICGC) is the sole body responsible for the delivery of every Northern Ireland Team to each Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games and is directly affiliated to the Commonwealth Games Federation specifically for this purpose.  The NICGC is made up of representatives from 26 sporting governing bodies in Northern Ireland who sit on the board of directors, they are as follows:

Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Lawn Bowls,

Netball, Rowing, Rugby 7's, Shooting,

Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis,

Ten-pin Bowling, Triathlon, Water polo,

Weightlifting and Wrestling

There are quite a number of benefits for any organisation that wish to be involved with such a far reaching organisation in terms of Northern Ireland Sport that operates on a world stage and has links through Commonwealth Federation ties to other Commonwealth countries across the globe.
