Meet the Team

Chairman - Mr Robert McVeigh

Robert's main sport has been shooting for the past 20 years and he captained Ireland in National Match from 1994 to 1997, was NI fullbore rifle champion 2001 & 2004, Ulster smallbore rifle champion 1999, and he holds the Ulster short range record score. Robert has been Chairman of NICGC for approximately 1 year.

Hon. Secretary - Ms Terry Crothers

Terry previously worked for BBC Sport for nearly 20 years but is now heavily involved with the Ulster Sport Trust. Terry is also an avid golfer and is a committee member of the Northern District of the ILGU and is due to become Ladies Captain at the Royal Belfast Golf Club in February 2008.

Treasurer - Mr Jack Monaghan

Jack's Sporting background is in Amateur Boxing, and for many years he was the Hon. Treasurer of the Ulster Provincial Council of the Irish Amateur Boxing Association and is a former Irish Universities Boxing Champion. Jack has been involved as a boxing referee at 4 Commonwealth Games from 1982 and then has been involved as a team manager from 1998 onwards..

Assistant Hon. Secretary - Ms Alison Moffitt

Alison's sporting background is in althletic throwing events and she has won 23 NI Senior Championship Titles (14 Javelin, 7 shot and 2 Discus). Alison has been involved as HQ staff for NICGC at Kuala Lumpur 1998, Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 and has been in the post of Assistant Honorary Secretary for one year.

Events and Promotions Assistant - Ricky Lee

Ricky has the distinction of being the first ever employee of the NICGC and has started in his post from September 2007. Ricky is heavily involved in hockey and is currently the hockey development assistant at the University of Ulster. He coaches the UUJ Ladies Hockey Club and Ulster U16's boys as well as turning out regularly to play for Mossley 1stXI.
