Team Departs from Belfast City Airport
On Wednesday 8th October the Northern Ireland Team met at The George Best Belfast City Airport to finally leave for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. Months of training and preparation had been completed and there was a real buzz of excitement around the airport as the team got together.

Curtis Woods who will be taking part inthe 200m and 400m athletics events at the Games commented, "i'm really looking forward to getting out there, i've never been to India before and simply can't wait." Reporters and photographers from various media joined the throng fo friends and family to see the young hopefuls on their way, and not a single one of the athletes looked phased in front of the cameras.
