Ciara has had a great season over 1500m having shaved some 15 seconds off her previous best time from last year. In the indoor season she set a British and Irish U17 record for 1500m whilst winning the Irish Indoor Championships in the Odyssey Arena. Her current personal best, 4.21.73 was set in the heats at the World Junior Championships (Poland) and Ciara had a good run in the final to place 10th. Ciara’s break through race in athletics was arguably her performance at the England Athletics U17 Championships last year over 3000m were she beat the pre race favourite by over 10 secs. Ciara has also been entered into the 800m.
